New Issue of Macao Higher Education Magazine - International Edition is Published
The new issue of the Macau Higher Education Magazine - International Edition has been published. Interested parties can obtain the magazines in specific government departments, public libraries, higher education institutions etc. or access the website of the Tertiary Education Services Office (GAES) to view or download the magazine.
The content of the Macao Higher Education Magazine – International Edition is comprehensive and diversified, comprising the discussion of relevant issues on higher education, overview of characteristic academic departments in local higher education institutions, sharing of students’ learning experiences, introduction of higher education students’ activities, information for further education, and the display of individual creations etc.
The highlights of this issue include more sharing on quality assurance of higher education in Hong Kong and Taiwan; Professor Zhou Ligou, an experienced educator who had been the Rector of the University of Macau and Macau University of Science and Technology, recounts the journey of the development of Macao higher education and offers his suggestions on its future development; and Dr. Fanny Vong, President of the Institute for Tourism Studies, shares her point of view on the development of higher education of Macao in multiple perspectives. Professor Luiz de Oliveira Dias is invited to recount his experiences in the higher education sector; readers can learn more about the journey of the development of Macao’s higher education and the stories inside. Professor João Sobrinho Teixeira, President of the Polytechnic Institute of Bragança in Portugal, is also invited to introduce the recent development of the Institute, and how this Institute employs Macao as a platform to connect to the higher education sector in China. In addition, there are contributions of students studying in different parts of the world sharing their learning experiences.
