Introduction
¡@¡@The "Macao Tertiary Education Database" is a project entrusted to the University of Macau by the Tertiary Education Services Office of the Government of the Macao SAR. The project aims to construct an internet platform to collect and save data, then integrate, process, and publicize them. The Database will collect tertiary education data in Macao scientifically, serving as references for the Government of the Macao SAR, institutions, researchers and instructors so as to advance the development and research of tertiary education of Macao. It can also provide the public with more comprehensive data of tertiary education of Macao. The project is now executed by the Macao Tertiary Education Database Task Force of the University of Macau, and will last five years, from 2008 to 2013. The project covers the following items:
- To collect the basic information of higher education institutions, academic/ administrative staffs, and students;
- To carry out questionnaire surveys for data collection on specific topics approved by the Tertiary Education Services Office of the Government of the Macao SAR;
- To collect other data concerning the tertiary education of Macao.
