(1) Holders of valid Macao SAR Resident Identity Cards (including the permanent and non-permanent Macao residents);
(2) Students who attend required higher education programs in the academic year 2016/2017 in the higher education institutions in or outside Macao (excluding students attending the last year of their bachelor programs lasting 4 years or longer);
(3) Full-time students during the registration and the execution of the programs.
Individual requirements: Please refer to the program charter for the detailed individual requirements from the respective programs.
A: It depends whether the course is full-time or not.
A: No. The targets of the programs are the students who are studying for higher diploma degrees or bachelor’s degrees (excluding students attending the last year of their bachelor programs lasting 4 years or longer).
A: No. The participants need to be full-time students during the registration and the execution of the programs.
A: Yes. But the applicant must submit the supporting documents for registration.
A: The registration form can be downloaded from the GAES website. It is also available at the Centre for Higher Education Students (Avenida do Conselheiro Ferreira de Almeida n.º 68-B, Edifício Va Cheong, R/C B, Macau, i.e., opposite the bus stop of Jardim de Lou Lim Ioc), and the reception of the GAES office (Avenida do Dr. Rodrigo Rodrigues n.os 614A - 640, Edifício Long Cheng, 7.o andar, Macau).
(1) Photocopy of the valid Macao SAR Resident Identity card (front and back);
(2) Photocopy of the valid student ID card (front and back);
(3) Photocopies of the college transcripts;
(4) A letter of recommendation (if any).
Note: More documents may be needed in response to different programs.
A: All programs in the category of “Broadening Horizons" activity can be selected. However, in the categories of “Language Learning", “Cultural Experience" and “Education about National Reality", the applicant can only select two choices at the most (except for ”To Be and to Know Portuguese – Summer Course in Portugal”).
A: If the transcripts issued by the higher institutions cannot be provided, the applicant can submit the relevant screenshot files or photos (personal data must be included).
A: No. In case such data must be modified or supplemented, the student shall send an application E-mail entitled "Modify / Supplement Registration Information for Enriched Life" to firstname.lastname@example.org, in which the applicant should clearly state his/her name, identity card number, date of birth, name of registered program, contents to modify or supplement, as well as provide relevant supporting documents (if any). In addition, it is suggested that the student should register for an account during the registration of the GAES program, so that it will save the applicant’s time in filling in basic personal information for the other future programs.
A: (1) The dialog box "Application Sent Successfully!" will pop up on the application page;
(2) A confirmation e-mail will be sent to the e-mail address you've provided in the application.
A: You can visit Foreign Credits for converting your grades to the required scale.
A: No. Your application must first pass a series of procedures, including résumé selection followed by an interview and comprehensive assessment by the board. The best applicants will be admitted on the basis of merit.
A: You can visit the Tertiary Education Services Office website (http://gaes.gov.mo) for the enrollment results. Meanwhile, the selected students will be sent a notification via e-mail or SMS by the Tertiary Education Services Office. Thus, please regularly check your e-mail and make sure you're reachable via mobile phone.
A: Generally, such applicants entering the interview procedure will be interviewed via specific free online video software.
